In January 2009 Angus Kennedy and John Downie attended an event at the Abbey Centre, Great Smith Street, Westminster discussing the regeneration of seaside and coastal towns in the UK.  The discussion was chaired by Professor Peter Roberts, Board Member HCA.  Later a Question and Answer session was chaired by Louise Elman MP, Chair of the Transport Select Committee and all party Regeneration Committee.  The panel also included Jackie Sadek, Chair of the British Urban Regeneration Association, Eamon Boylan, Deputy CEO, HCA and Chris Ruane MP, Parliamentary Seaside and Coastal Towns Group.  Other MPs representing coastal towns also attended.  CRP had contributed to the discussion through its work for Local Space on the evaluation of its market rent housing model.
