In June 2007 Angus Kennedy chaired a conference in London organised by the Royal Town Planning Institute entitled World Class Sporting Events.  The purpose of the conference was to outline the importance of regeneration and legacy planning as central goals of major sporting events, such as the London 2012 Olympics.
